Incredibly Close

A few months ago I bought myself a typewriter. Royal Quiet De Luxe with green keys. I love it. I was inspired by a book I read by Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The book was a gift and I am grateful for it. It instantly went on my list of all-time favorites. It’s a clever and beautiful story of an inquisitive child in the aftermath of 911.

Here’s an excerpt that I typed up:

  1. I remember learning to type on a machine quite like that. You can’t beat the sound of typewriter keys and the feeling of the manual return. Who ever dreamed of text wrapping?

Thanks for sharing yourself, Jamie! Wonderful blog.
